The joint-stock company RUDOLF JELÍNEK is engaged in the production of alcoholic beverages, especially distillates. The tradition of producing fruit distillates in Vizovice dates back to 1585. The company itself was founded at the end of the century before last, in 1894.

The company’s products are known in all corners of the Czech Republic and around the world. The company continues the tradition of exporting products abroad, which Rudolf Jelínek began by exporting kosher spirits to overseas markets in the USA in 1934.

The company’s flagship is plum brandy , which it produces in several varieties (white, gold, jubilee, kosher, etc.). It also produces branded fruit distillates of the highest quality such as pear brandy, apricot brandy, cherry brandy or apple brandy.

Premium products are kosher distillates, the production of which did not use raw materials, production equipment and procedures that would contradict the precepts of the Jewish faith. The production of kosher distillates is supervised by a representative of the Orthodox Union of American Rabbis. The Kosher certificate awarded by the American Orthodox Union confirms the highest quality of this distillate.

In 2003, the company began planting its own plum orchards on the southern slope of the Vizovice valley, in an area called Těchlov. After five years, it harvested the first crop of Vizovice plums and began a new tradition – the production of a limited edition of Vizovice plum brandy.

At the end of 2013, it expanded the area of ​​its orchards and now has 60 ha of plum orchards in Vizovice, 20 ha of plum and cherry orchards in Kostelany, and 80 ha of apricot orchards in South Moravia.
